Various experimental methods are used in linguistic research to investigate speech processing. This video provides a brief introduction to the method of electromagnetic articulography (EMA). Recording the movements of the speech tools provides an insight into linguistic structures. The video was created as part of the DFG-funded priority program SPP 1727 "XPrag.de" and was recorded in the Speech Dynamics Lab (SpeeDy Lab) of the Institute of Linguistics (Phonetics) at the University of Cologne.
