Directions

The Phonetics Department can be reached from the main railway station as follows:

Take the tram line 16 or 18 (direction Bonn) to Neumarkt and change above ground to line 1 (direction Junkersdorf or Weiden West) or line 7 (direction Frechen Bf or Frechen-Benzelrath). Get off at the 'Universitätsstr.' stop. Cross Aachener Str. in the direction of travel on the left. Follow Aachener Str. in the direction of travel by crossing Universitätsstraße. After 140 metres, turn onto Richard-Strauss-Strauß-Straße and cross the Clarenbachkanal after 140 metres. You will then come to Herbert-Lewin-Straße. After 130 metres, turn right onto a pedestrian path (fire brigade entrance) that leads away from the road. Via this path you will reach the Herbert-Lewin-Haus, building number 212, which is located directly on the left-hand side. The Phonetics Department is located on the ground floor of this building. After a few steps (on the left) you will reach the entrance door.

Alternative from Neumarkt:
Take bus no. 136 (direction Hohenlind) or bus no. 146 (direction Deckstein). Get off at the 'Hildegardis-Krankenhaus' stop. Walk 10 metres in the direction of travel and turn slightly right to stay on Bachemer Str. After 140 metres, turn right onto Classen-Kappelmann-Straße. After 190 metres turn right onto Dürener Str./B264 and after 160 metres turn left onto Herbert-Lewin-Straße. After 120 metres, turn left onto a pedestrian path (fire brigade entrance) that leads away from the road. Via this path you will reach the Herbert-Lewin-Haus, building number 212, which is located directly on the left-hand side. After a few steps (on the left) you will reach the front door.
