After being part of the administration of the Department of Linguistics, formerly known as Institut für Sprachwissenschaft for 32 years, Sybille Olshausen passed away in September 2020. She was part of the Department of Historical Comparative Linguistics since its establishment in 1965 until her retirement. Together with Professor Untermann, she built up this department and significantly shaped the atmosphere and cooperation. We will always honor her memory.
