CLARIN-D

Discipline-specific Working Group 3: Linguistic Fieldwork, Ethnology, Language Typology

The CLARIN-D project coordinates and builds a research infrastructure for the digital humanities. The project aims at providing linguistic data, tools and services in an integrated, interoperable and scalable infrastructure for the social sciences and humanities. CLARIN-D is part of the CLARIN European Research Infrastructure Consortium – CLARIN ERIC.

The discipline-specific working group for linguistic fieldwork, ethnology and language typology assembles leading scholars of these research disciplines. The working group advances the use of web-based research infrastructures and works to enhance the availability of digital language resources. The group advocates technological innovation in the area of linguistic fieldwork, anthropology and language typology. It develops hands-on language technology projects and advises CLARIN-D on research priorities.
