  • Lectures in December

    We would like to invite you to two lectures held in December:

     

    December 8th, 4pm: Ruth Singer's (University of Melbourne) talk will be on "Multilingualism at Warruwi Community (Australia): fragments of a dynamic system". (Institute for Linguistics, Meister-Ekkehart-Straße 7, 2nd floor, Seminar room right-hand side)

     

    December 15th, 4pm: Sabine Stoll (University of Zurich) will present on "Finding universals in acquisition strategies: The maximum diversity approach" (Institute for Linguistics, Meister-Ekkehart-Straße 7, 2nd floor, Seminar room right-hand side)

     

    December 16th, 12pm: Filip De Decker (Universiteit Gent) will give a talk on "Das Augment im Griechischen: 1400 bis 400 v.Chr." (Institute for Linguistics, Meister-Ekkehart-Straße 7, 2nd floor, Seminar room left-hand side)

  • Habilitation

    At 4pm on Wednesday 7th December, Frank Seifert (Amsterdam/Cologne) will present on the topic "Grammatik im noisy channel: Bora Trommelkommunikation" in S11 in the Seminargebäude.

  • AMGC Workshop: "How can I finance my PhD?"

    Offered by the Albertus Magnus Graduate Center (AMGC), the workshop will take place on Wednesday 7th December from 10:00-13:30 at the University of Cologne's GATEWAY start-up service (Ägidiusstraße 14, 50397 Cologne). The workshop is aimed at Master's students considering a PhD as well as current PhD students. More information and online registration (in German).
