  • 9th STaPs in Cologne

    This year's "Sprachwissenschaftliche Tagung für Promotionsstudierende" (Linguistic Conference for Ph.D. students will be held from October 5-8 at the University of Cologne. For further information see here.

  • Advisory Sessions

    The advisory sessions for BA and MA programs will be held October 13. The compulsory advisory sessions for BA students will take place in in auditorium XVIII in the main building at 12 noon, the advisory session for MA students in the second floor class room to the left in the department of linguistics at 2 pm.

  • General meeting of the GBS

    The next general meeting of the "Gesellschaft für bedrohte Sprachen e.V." (Society for Endangered Languages) will be held in Cologne November 11 2016. Further information will follow on the homepage of the GBS.

  • Compulsory Advisory Session (BA)

    The compulsory advisory session ('Erstsemesterberatung') for the BA Linguistics and Phonetics will be held on Thursday 10/13/2016 at 12 o' clock in auditorium XVIII in the main building. The main topics will be structure and content of the basic modules ('Basismodule'). At the end you are going to receive a certificate of attendance which will be a prerequisition for the attendance of certain lectures in the course of your studies.

    The advisory session ('Einstiegsberatung') for the MA Linguistics will be held on Thursday 10/13/2016 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the left seminar room, Meister-Ekkehart.Str. 7

    The a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne advertizes 30 positions in the Research Master programme for the winter term 2016/17. The program targets highly motivated students who wish to do research and prepare for a subsequent doctorate already during their Master phase. Further information.

    Applications for a transition to the new study regulations are to be directed at the examination office of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.   • Borrowing equipment
